  • Ability to close task records regardless that some business required fields are not filled

… Activities can be marked as completed through opportunities social pane regardless of fulfillment of business required fields, causing compliance failures and breaking all workflows that are dependent on required info input.During the customer sales process, as the user advances to the next phase, some tasks are automatically created and the user shall complete then and fill all required info on it. The issue is that although the task have some business required fields and the tasks cannot be concluded (Marked Complete) on the task form without adding all required fields, as expected, if the user go, instead, to the opportunity’s social pane and click “Complete” on the task, the system will mark it completed ignoring the business required fields requirements, causing a compliance issue, allowing a not executed task to be completed and breaking all workflows that depend on this information not filled.Note: issue happens when no out-of-box fields are marked as business required fields on main form, such as Category field.Workaround--------------Remove the conversation tab (Social Pane) from the opportunity form. However, the customer is not happy with it. Removing the social pane also removes the notes and posts panel. …

… Currently in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015, a Note may be created in the Social pane. When the user changes focus to a different field on a form, the Note record is automatically saved and created. We have requirements that users cannot edit or delete their own notes. Our usage of the product is for Customer Service, so the Notes functionality is trained to be used solely on cases. Essentially our direction is that a user entering case information is prevented from editing or removing Notes added to cases. To meet this requirement we have removed Update and Delete security rights on the Notes entity for our customer service team. The side effect of the Social Pane functionality means that as soon as they change focus from the Note over to a field on the case form, the note is saved/created and they cannot update it even if they weren't done entering information. This is a pain point for our customer service team.I would like to see the ability to configure the Notes control in the Social Pane to behave differently in terms of saving the note. …
